Why it works

This is a classic 0/21/9-style PvP plan: Marksmanship reaches Aimed Shot, Mortal Shots and Scatter Shot for the kill window, while Survival adds Humanoid Slaying and Improved Wing Clip for the most common battleground targets and emergency roots. Improved Concussive Shot is chosen over mana talents because random 3-second stuns win short fights.

The gear is balanced around the PvP “knee” of the curve rather than full glass cannon. The supplied curve shows balance 40 gives about 1020 HP from gear for only a 3% throughput loss; pushing to balance 50 adds 340 more HP but costs another 9% throughput, so this set keeps real burst while still stacking stamina. Key pieces are Bow of Searing Arrows for the best ranged pressure, Skullsplitter Helm and Fleshhide Shoulders for stamina/agility, Basilisk Hide Pants for huge agility, and Defiler’s Leather Boots for run speed. Tidal Charm gives a decisive extra stun, while Defiler’s Talisman buys time against melee trains.

Play at maximum range. Pre-buff Heart of the Lion and Aspect of the Hawk, mark the target, then open with Aimed Shot when you can safely stand still. Use Rapid Fire when committing to a kill, keep Viper Sting on mana users, and follow with Chimera Shot, Multi-Shot and Arcane Shot for pressure. Scatter Shot is your reset button: use it to stop a cast, peel a melee, or create space for a hardcast Aimed Shot. If someone reaches you, Wing Clip while moving away and swap to kiting immediately.
