1. Reset

   Raiding & dungeons

   When an instance's lockout ends and the bosses are back. Also: leaving a dungeon and re-entering to respawn everything.

   “Reset is Tuesday morning.”

   “Everyone out, we're resetting the instance.”

2. Leash

   MMO

   The distance an enemy will chase you before giving up and resetting.

   “Kite it to the leash and it resets, don't.”

3. Lockout

   Raiding & dungeons

   Also: Raid ID

   Once you kill a raid boss, you're saved to that raid's instance until it resets: a week for the big raids, three days for Zul'Gurub and Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj.

   “I'm locked to MC this week, can't come.”

4. Respec

   WoW

   Paying the trainer to reset your talents. The price rises each time, up to 50 gold in vanilla.

   “Respec cost is 50g now, I'm staying fury.”

   “I respec'd to tank for the raid.”

5. Evade

   WoW

   When an enemy can't reach you and stops taking damage. Sometimes a bug, sometimes an exploit.

   “Boss is evading, reset the fight.”

6. Honor

   PvP

   Points from killing enemy players and winning battlegrounds. In vanilla they drove a weekly ranking; in Classic they buy PvP gear.

   “Honor resets Tuesday, grind while you can.”
