Level 39 Frost Mage twink build

This is a full Frost PvP build because level 39 cannot legally reach Ice Barrier, but it can get the important control package: Improved Frost Nova, Shatter, Cold Snap, Ice Block, Arctic Reach, and Improved Cone of Cold. Your kill pattern is to create a freeze, then cash it in with Shatter-boosted Frost damage; Ice Shards makes those Frost crits much more punishing, while Frostbite adds random roots from chills that can swing melee matchups.

The gear is built around the practical PvP knee of the survival curve: around balance 60–70 you sit near 1310–1430 HP from gear while only giving up about 9–11% throughput versus the glass-cannon set. Past that, the next stamina gains are small and cost too much damage. Lucky Fishing Hat, Robes of the Lich, Silky Spider Cape, Condor Bracers, Dragonclaw Ring, and the AB boots keep you alive; Staff of Jordan, Stormcloth Gloves, Defiler’s Cloth Girdle, Red Mageweave Pants, Advisor’s Ring, Azure Shoulders, and Icefury Wand preserve the Frost burst. Use Highlander’s equivalents if you are Alliance.

Play for resets, not turret casting. Keep Arcane Intellect and Ice Armor up. Open with Polymorph when you can, position, then force a freeze with Frost Nova or Frostbite procs. Cone of Cold and Ice Lance are your instant pressure while moving; Frostbolt is your main cast when you have space. Fire Blast finishes low-health targets. Ice Block clears danger and stalls for cooldowns; Mana Shield and Blink are your emergency tools against physical pressure. Tidal Charm is your kill setup or peel, while the AB absorb trinket buys time against rogues, warriors, and hunters.
