Enhancement Shaman leveling build (level 40)

This is a classic level-40 Enhancement solo setup built around big two-handed swings. The talent path reaches Stormstrike exactly at 31 points: Ancestral Knowledge helps your mana pool, Thundering Strikes enables Flurry, Improved Ghost Wolf cuts travel downtime, Two-Handed Axes and Maces lets you use Bonebiter, and Elemental Weapons plus Weapon Mastery multiply your weapon damage. Parry and a point in Toughness add useful solo durability without delaying Stormstrike.

Bonebiter is the key gear piece: its slow 3.4 speed and +20 Strength make Stormstrike and weapon hits hit hard. Raging Berserker's Helm, Scarlet Leggings, Gauntlets of Divinity, Defiler's Chain Girdle, Legionnaire's Band, and Assault Band stack strength, attack power, crit, and stamina. Fleshhide Shoulders, Dark Hooded Cape, and Defiler's Leather Boots are leather trade-offs because their offensive stats and run-speed bonus are worth the armor loss while leveling. Rune of Duty gives passive sustain, while Defiler's Talisman is an emergency physical absorb for bad pulls.

For play, keep Water Shield up for reduced downtime. Pull with Lightning Bolt when convenient, Flame Shock tougher mobs if the debuff is missing, then Stormstrike and use Earth Shock to benefit from the Nature-damage vulnerability. Use Chain Lightning only on 3+ enemies because it is expensive. Frost Shock is for runners or kiting, Lesser Healing Wave is your quick panic heal, and Ghost Wolf should be used constantly outdoors between pulls.
