Feral Combat Druid leveling build (level 40)

This is a pure Feral solo setup: Ferocity, Savage Fury, Mangle, Predatory Strikes, Sharpened Claws, Primal Fury, Predatory Instincts, and Leader of the Pack all multiply your cat damage, while Feral Swiftness is one of the best leveling talents because faster travel between mobs is real XP/hour. Going all the way to Berserk gives you an emergency button for multi-pulls or hard quest mobs. The single point in Rend and Tear is legal after Predatory Strikes and adds value when Rake/Rip are running.

The gear favors agility, strength, attack power, stamina, and practical solo utility. Forest Stalker’s Bracers, Sunburn Spaulders, Grimtotem Naturalist’s Tunic, Defiler’s Leather Girdle, and Bloodsport Band are the main damage pieces. Scoutmaster’s Eyepatch, Corpsefeeder’s Shedding, Feathered Leggings, and the PvP trinket keep your health high enough to survive bad pulls. Defiler’s Leather Boots are chosen for the movement-speed effect; even as Feral, speed is excellent while leveling. Rage of the Storm is a strong stat stick with strength and stamina; the Stormstrike effect is irrelevant, but the stats are not.

Play mostly in Cat Form. Keep Mark of the Wild and Thorns up, open from Prowl with Ravage when convenient, use Tiger’s Fury on cooldown, apply Rake, build with Mangle/Claw, and spend on Rip at 5 combo points unless the target is nearly dead, then Ferocious Bite. If you pull several enemies, use Berserk and finish quickly. At low health, pop Survival Instincts or shift out for Rejuvenation before continuing.
