Combat Rogue leveling build (level 40)

This is built for low-downtime questing, not dagger positioning. Combat takes Improved Sinister Strike, Precision, Dual Wield Specialization, Aggression, Weapon Expertise, Blade Flurry, and Adrenaline Rush so your normal front-facing rotation stays efficient and reliable. Deflection enables Riposte, which is outstanding while soloing because mobs are attacking you constantly; Endurance makes Sprint and Evasion available more often.

The gear leans Agility, Attack Power, Stamina, and practical utility. Greatflank Flayer in both hands is the highest listed weapon DPS and keeps Hack and Slash relevant. Forest Stalker’s Bracers, Sunburn Spaulders, Defiler’s Leather Girdle, Feathered Leggings, Bloodsport Band, and Protector’s Band are the biggest raw damage pieces. Defiler’s Leather Boots are chosen for the slight run speed bonus, which is excellent while leveling even if pure stat boots are close. Nightscape crafted leather fills head and chest with strong Agility/Stamina and is easy to plan around; unknown-source pieces are simply world-obtainable upgrades when you find them.

Play from Stealth when convenient: Cheap Shot, build with Sinister Strike, keep Slice and Dice up, and Eviscerate at 5 combo points. Use Riposte whenever it lights up, and Main Gauche on cooldown for cheap damage and defense. Save Blade Flurry plus Adrenaline Rush for two or more mobs, escorts, caves, or rares. Kick casters, Gouge or Evasion when low, then bandage or reset with Sprint/Vanish if needed.
