Level 49 Retribution Paladin twink build

Sanctity Hammer” — Player vs player.

A level-49 two-handed Retribution control twink that uses Repentance, long Blessing of Freedom, player-hit-capped swings, and a slow weapon to turn short stun windows into kills.

Solid. A few specific changes below would lift it further.

Why it works

This is a PvP-first 31/9/0 style build: Retribution goes all the way to Repentance while keeping Seal of Command, Pursuit of Justice, Sanctity Aura, Two-Handed Weapon Specialization, and Vengeance for burst. The Protection splash is there for the bracket-defining utility: Guardian’s Favor makes Blessing of Freedom last longer and reduces Blessing of Protection’s cooldown, while 2/3 Precision combines with your gear hit to reach 5% melee hit versus players.

The gear is built around the practical PvP knee of the survival curve rather than all-out glass cannon. Around the 50–60 balance point you get roughly 1480–1660 HP from gear for only about a 5–8% throughput loss; going toward 70 buys more HP but costs much more damage and drops hit. Avenguard Helm, Hydralick Armor, Elemental Rockridge Leggings, Highlander’s Plate Greaves, and Nightfall Drape keep you hard to kill, while Razorsteel Shoulders, Blackstone Ring, Rune of the Guard Captain, and Precision supply the hit you need. Stoneraven is chosen because Seal of Command wants a slow, high top-end two-hander with real stamina and strength/agility attached.

Play for control windows. Keep Seal of Command, Sanctity Aura, and Blessing of Might up. Use Repentance to open or force a trinket, then Hammer of Justice into Divine Storm, Crusader Strike, Exorcism when mana is comfortable, and Hammer of Wrath to finish. Blessing of Freedom aggressively breaks snares and keeps you connected; Divine Shield is your reset when low. Save Avenging Wrath for a committed kill attempt, since its Forbearance timing can stop you from bubbling immediately afterward.
